Job seekers are constantly sharing horror stories of broken and lengthy interview processes, difficult applications, submitting resumes to black holes, and recruiters or hiring managers ghosting. They are tired of not getting feedback. They are frustrated with a lack of structure to the interview process. Once they are hired, they are nervous about the lack of support in onboarding.
Recruiters are swamped. They have requisition loads that are difficult to keep up with, they have inadequate ATS systems and sourcing tools, they are chasing candidates only to lose them to a poorly designed interview process, and they are managed by KPIs that don't make any sense.
Hiring Managers are frustrated because they aren't able to quickly identify and hire the right folks, they are tired of getting all the way to the offer stages and the candidate turning down the offer or ghosting them, and they feel left out of the sourcing and screening process entirely.
On top of all of these issues, you have social media "influencers" who've never spent a day in a recruiters chair, who haven't looked for a job in many years, and haven't hired someone, ever. These people are sharing clickbait to get more views, follows, and their posts get seen more because the algorithms favor influencers who generate activity. We're all tired of it.
